Welcome to the heart of our mission. This donation drive is held in loving memory of my daughter, Opal, a fierce warrior who fought with incredible strength for six months after being born with CHD and DiGeorge Syndrome.
During our journey, two places became our lifeline: Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House (RMH). The medical team at Sacred Heart worked tirelessly, doing everything humanly possible to care for Opal, while the RMH provided us with a "home away from home" when we needed it most. To honor Opal’s spirit and say thank you to those who supported us, we are collecting essential items to bring comfort to other families navigating their own difficult hospital stays.
How You Can Help
We are currently collecting specific items for both locations to ensure families and patients have the support they need.
For the Ronald McDonald House
The RMH provides a sanctuary for families. These items help keep their daily operations running and provide small comforts to parents:
Hygiene Essentials: Travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and various hygiene products.
Kitchen & Pantry: K-cups, snacks, and individual snack packs.
Paper Goods: Toilet paper and disposable paper coffee cups.
For Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital
These items go directly to children and their families to provide distraction, warmth, and relief during treatment:
Comfort & Activity: Pillowcases, blankets, fidget toys, and stress balls.
Creativity: Coloring markers and gel pens.
NICU Specific Needs: * Small baby blankets and small pacifiers.
Low-stimulation baby toys.
Comfort items specifically for NICU parents.
