Our Impact So Far
We are so proud to share that over 100 toys, bows, and hats have already been donated to babies in the NICU and PICU at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Spokane.
Each item was given with love — bringing comfort, warmth, and a reminder to families that they are not alone.
This is just the beginning of Opal’s legacy 💗
Donate Opal’s Cow of Courage Today!
Opal’s Cow of Courage is a special part of her legacy.
These soft cows are more than just a toy — they are a symbol of comfort, bravery, and love. I chose them because they reflect the gentle strength Opal showed every single day.
Each cow is donated to a baby or child in the hospital to bring comfort during hard moments — something soft to hold, something to feel less alone.
Why These Matter
For families in the NICU and PICU, even the smallest comfort item can mean everything.
These cows become:
A source of comfort during long hospital stays
A keepsake for families
A reminder that they are not alone
Where to Find Them
You can find Opal’s Cow of Courage at Walmart 💗
Every cow given carries a piece of Opal’s love with it.
Donor Milk & NICU Support
At Opal’s Workshop of Love, we believe that every baby deserves the best possible start—even in the hardest circumstances.
Donated breast milk is often called liquid gold because of its life-saving impact on premature and medically fragile babies. For infants in the NICU, especially those born with congenital heart disease (CHD), donor milk can support healing, strengthen their immune system, and help their tiny bodies grow stronger.
In honor of Opal, we are passionate about raising awareness for resources like milk banks and supporting families navigating long hospital stays. Just like blankets, toys, and care packages bring comfort, access to donor milk brings nourishment, protection, and hope.
Because every ounce given is an act of love—and every baby deserves that love.
🫀🍼 CHD + Donor Milk
Understanding Why It Matters for Heart Babies
Babies born with congenital heart disease (CHD) face challenges from their very first breath. Their hearts work harder, their bodies use more energy, and even simple things—like feeding—can become exhausting.
For many of these babies, especially those in the NICU or cardiac ICU, donor breast milk becomes a vital part of their care.
It is often called liquid gold—because for fragile babies, it can be life-saving.
